Let's celebrate the World Heritage Day 2023

World Heritage Day is celebrated every year on the 18th of April. It’s also known as International Monuments and Sites Day. The aim of naming a day for heritage is to raise global awareness of the importance of heritage as well as the importance of protecting all kinds of cultural heritage and natural heritage of the world.
The theme of this year's World Heritage Day is “Heritage Changes”. The theme for World Heritage Day 2023 is focused on the crucial issue of climate action and its relation to cultural heritage.

The fourth volume of the Yugathara academic journal series by the Centre for Heritage Studies of the University of Kelaniya is scheduled to be published in 2022 as an E-journal. This academic journal creates a platform with an interdisciplinary research approach for the researchers and professionals who conduct research on Heritage, in order to exhibit their research, theoretical analysis as well as concepts related to Heritage.
