1985/86 - A/L in Bio science stream and was selected to the university.
1987 - Joined as an English teacher and was appointed to a remote school
in Anuradhapura. I found that learning English is difficult because many English
teachers did not have sound knowledge about the subject. Instead of following science subjects, I started following Sinhala
and English languages for B.A degree in the University of
Peradeniya
under the guidance of professor Sarathchandra Wickramasooriya. While working as a teacher,I entered the teachers" training college
in Peradeniya.(English Specialized Trained.) Followed Diploma in Advanced English for Further Education and
Academic Purposes in University of Colombo. Then ,I followed the Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the
University of Colombo.(P.G.D.E.-Teaching English as a Second
Language. On the merit of the result of my post graduate results, I was
selected to follow the Master of Education degree in the university
of Colombo(M.Ed. teaching English for Speakers of Other
Languages.) I have been working as an English teacher, a resource person,
a teacher trainer,a
trainer of master teachers and as a visiting lecturer in
higher education institutes. In schools, I taught English Literature
for A/L students. I have conducted IELTS classes since 1999, and helped more than
