Medin Poya is important because it marks the Buddha’s first visit to his hometown, Kapilavastu, after attaining Enlightenment.🌕

On this day, he met his father, wife, and son and shared the Dhamma with them. His son Rahula later became the first child monk in the Buddhist order. This event shows the importance of family, gratitude, and spiritual responsibility. Medin Poya reminds Buddhists to follow the path of wisdom while staying connected to their roots.
