🔆HOW TO BUILD A LOVE FOR READING AT ANY AGE 🔆
1.Choose books that match their interests
Whether someone likes animals, superheroes, mysteries, romance, cooking, or travel—start with what they enjoy.
Interest first, difficulty later.
2. Start small
Short stories, picture books, comics, graphic novels, magazines, even blogs—reading is reading!
Small success builds confidence.
3. Create a cozy reading space
A small corner with a pillow, lamp, or comfy chair can make reading feel special and relaxing.
4. Read aloud—even for older kids or adults
Hearing stories builds imagination and interest.
It’s also a bonding moment.
5. Make reading a routine
Just 10–15 minutes a day can develop a habit—before bed, after school, or during quiet time.
6. Visit libraries or bookstores
Browsing books creates excitement and curiosity. It feels like an adventure.
7. Be a reading role model
When children (or even adults) see someone enjoying a book, they naturally become curious and want to try.
8. Celebrate books, not just finishing
Talk about characters, funny parts, what surprised you—make reading fun, not a task.
9. Mix formats
Audiobooks, eBooks, and physical books all count.
Audiobooks especially help reluctant readers.
10. Don’t force it
Guide gently. Let them choose. Pressure kills interest.
