SCOLO is delighted to share one of our latest studies on โ๐ฝ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐๐ง๐จ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ช๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ โ ๐ผ ๐พ๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ข ๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ค๐ข๐ฎโ which was presented at the๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐พ๐ค๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐๐ก ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ (๐๐๐๐ 2022). This paper won the ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ค๐ง๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ผ๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ at the conference cementing its place as one of the three best papers at this prestigious IEEE conference.
The advances in Additive Manufacturing (AM) help the recycling, redesign, and reuse of waste plastics, enabling circular economy supply chains and business ecosystems. This study intended to investigate the barriers to implementing AM in plastic waste management in a developing economy. It shows the hierarchical relationship between those barriers. The findings from the case study reveal that the lack of flexibility to implement circular economy (CE) goals is one of the main barriers to implementing AM in plastic waste management.
