The Fundamentals of the Theravāda Doctrine. This is a series of lectures to highlight the salient fundamental tenets which govern the Doctrine preserved under the Tradition of Theravāda. In this lecture we will be pointing out the actual position of the Theravāda Tradition in the Buddhist Community, among the eighteen schools, and how it got evolved, into its present form. We will be also emphasizing the relation of the Theravāda Tradition with the ancient Tradition of Mahāvihāra emerged in Sri Lanka (previously known as Ceylon).
