Demis Hassabis born in London, England, on July 27, 1976, is a renowned Artificial Intelligence (AI) researcher, neuroscientist, computer game designer, and Chess Master. In 2024, he was honored with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his groundbreaking contributions to the computational design of proteins, and he shared the award with David Baker and John Jumper.
Hassabis was a chess prodigy, achieving the title of FIDE Master (FM) at the age of 13, with an Elo rating of 2300. At that time, he was ranked the second-best player in the world under 14, just behind the legendary Judit Polgar, who held a rating of 2335.
