NIFS School Science Programme

NIFS School Science Programme Annual School School Science Programme Organized by the Science Dissemination unit of Institute of F

The National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) emphasizes the position that research in science and dissemination of scientific knowledge must go hand in hand. The School Science Programme (SSP) of the IFS is one of the most important annually conducted programmes for the dissemination of science among the younger generation. We live in an era of intense scientific activity, leading, to sig

nificant new discoveries of far-reaching advancement. The resultant information explosion in science has given rise to many new ideas and theories. In the normal course of events, this information may take decades to filter through to the classroom. The primary goal of the SSP is to expose young students to a few selected frontier areas of science and to provide opportunity for them to interact directly with scientists actively engaged in research. It is intended that this dialogue will motivate and inspire students to pursue active and innovative careers in scientific research and education. All the effort and dedication that has gone into organizing this Programme would be worthwhile, even if a few students engage themselves in creative thinking.
