The Induction Service of the new Principal of the Theological College of Lanka, Revd. B. Leslie Dareeju, was held on 9th January 2026. The service was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Rev. Canon Dr. David Hewlett, and marked a prayerful and hope-filled beginning to a new chapter of leadership at TCL.

TCL Community Summit 2025
On 8th July 2025, TCL hosted its Community Summit under the main theme “Becoming a Sustainable Society.”
The discussions centered on “A People’s Response to the Crisis: Socio, Political, Economical, Ecological, and Spiritual in Sri Lanka.”
We were honored to have Dr. Ajantha Perera deliver the keynote address on “Shared Responsibility for a Sustainable Society.”
The summit brought together 88 participants—including religious leaders, local community members, government representatives, and TCL students, faculty, and staff—affirming that sustainability is a shared journey of hope and responsibility.
The program concluded with a tree planting ceremony, a living symbol of solidarity and commitment towards becoming a sustainable society.

TCL Annual Retreat 2025
Held from June 5th –7th, 2025 at the Divya Darshana Center, Ampitiya, our Annual Retreat brought together students and faculty for a sacred pause before the new academic year.
Through prayer, reflection, and fellowship, we were renewed and strengthened to step into the journey ahead with faith and joy.

On the 11th of April 2025, TCL celebrated its Annual Valedictory Service, commissioning three Methodist and eleven Anglican candidates into full-time ministry after a season of academic and ministerial formation. We were honored to have Rt. Rev. Bishop Dushantha Rodrigo, Bishop of Colombo, as our Chief Celebrant and Preacher, guiding the sacred moment of sending forth. Surrounded by love, prayers, and praise, students, staff, faculty, families, and well-wishers gathered to mark this significant milestone in the lives of our outgoing batch
