On the 20th of June 2023, the Department of Engineering Technology facilitated a group of 54 Advanced Level (A/L) Engineering Technology students from Siridhamma College in Galle. The students were provided with valuable knowledge in various fields, including Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Automobile, and Manufacturing Technology. The aim of this initiative was to enhance the students' understanding and practical skills in these areas. The event was organized as part of the department's commitment to promoting technical education and fostering a strong foundation for aspiring engineering Technologists.

Conducting advance level practical for Richmond College technology students

The Department of Engineering Technology conducted a workshop on A/L Technology stream practical demonstration on 3rd August 2022. For this event 42 students and 3 teachers of Richmond College, Galle were participated. In this workshop, practicals related to Production technology, Workshop Machineries, Automobile Technology, Electrical and Electronics were successfully demonstrated.

Department of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, successfuly conducted the webinar titled, "Trends in Technology Stream Education" on 13 September 2021 from 9.00 to 11.00 a.m.

The resource person was, Dr. T A Piyasiri , Overall Coordinator of the Technology Stream.

There were arround 450+ participants and it was a fruitful and enlightening session.
