The proud Kalutara Vidyalaya the first Buddhist college in Kalutara District based on the concept of Sinhala Buddhist school, which was very lacking for Sri Lankan children, is celebrating its 85th anniversary today.

As a school endowed with excellent people who have won national and international levels in every field since the day of its establishment, powerful leaders who can conquer the future world with a high level of intelligence by nurturing the educational, social, psychological and spiritual aspects of the children who are ready to take on the world tomorrow and works to create innovators.

මේ දිනවල ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට බලපා ඇති අයහපත් කාලගුණික තත්ත්වය හේතුවෙන් ස්වාභාවික ආපදා හා ව්‍යසනයන්ට ගොදුරුව පීඩාවට පත් සහනයක් අවැසි අපේම සහෝදර ජනතාව උදෙසා කළුතර විද්‍යාලයීයන් වශයෙන් පිළිසරණක් වෙමින් ඔවුන් සඳහා වියළි ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍ය ඇතුළු අත්‍යවශ්‍ය ද්‍රව්‍ය සපුරාලීමේ වැඩසටහනේ කොටස්කරුවෙකු වීමට ඔබටත් දැන් අවස්ථාව උදා වී ඇත.

දෙසැම්බර් 1 (හෙට) සිට දෙසැම්බර් 3 තෙක් උදෑසන 8.00 සිට සවස 6.00 දක්වා කළුතර විද්‍යාලයීය පරිශ්‍රය වෙත ඉහත සඳහන් ද්‍රව්‍ය සහ ඔබට හැකි ඕනෑම දෙයක් ගෙනවිත් බාර දීමට හැකියාව තිබේ.

මේ මඟගු සද්කාර්‍ය හා අත්වැල් බැඳගැනීම ට ඔබටත් වගකිය යුතු ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයෙක් වශයෙන් ජාති,ආගම්,කුල,හේද දුරැර ගෞරවයෙන් ආරාධනා කරන්නෙමු.

Celebrating One Year of Kalutara Vidyalaya Media Unit Broadcasting Channel

KVBC Official proudly marks its 1st Anniversary, a year full of creativity, dedication, and student-led broadcasting excellence! 🌟
The channel officially started in 2024, with its first video launched on 19th November 2024 under the guidance of Former Principal Mr. Chathuranga Pradeep.

Founders during 2024–2025 Media Unit leadership:
• Prathap Jayasinghe – Former President, Co-Director of KVBC Official
• Hasal Vishwajith – Former Secretary, Director of KVBC Official

Their vision laid the foundation for a modern digital broadcasting platform at Kalutara Vidyalaya.

Historic Achievement:
• First-ever live streaming of school events in the history of Kalutara Vidyalaya Media Unit 📡

Highlights of the Year:
• Live streaming major school events, including the Sir Cyril De Zoysa Anniversary with Alms Giving – streamed for two consecutive years
• Production of the original student short film “The Gift From God” 🎬
• Live coverage of the school Big Match, bringing the excitement to a wider audience 🏏
• Creation of Sri Lanka’s first AI-generated Sinhala podcast, “Battle of the Mangosteens” 🤖
• Publishing 37 videos and building a strong community of 600+ subscribers 💚
