Our little learners explored the wonderful world of water through engaging and meaningful activities! They learned about the importance of water, the need for water conservation and identified different sources of water in our daily lives.

Through hands-on experiences and interactive discussions, children not only gained knowledge but also developed essential life skills. Celebrations like these play a vital role in the holistic development of the child, enhancing curiosity, environmental awareness, critical thinking and a sense of responsibility from an early age. 🌱✨

தற்போதைய மறுசீரமைக்கப்பட்ட தேசிய பாடத்திட்டத்திற்கேற்ப சிறுவர் கல்வியின் அடித்தள நிலையில் STEAM கல்வியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்தும் வகையில் National Institute of Education (NIE) இன் ஆரம்ப குழந்தைகள் கல்வி தேசிய பாடத்திட்ட கட்டமைப்பில் STEAM இணைக்கபட்டிருப்பதால், அதற்கான அறிமுக பயிற்சிநெறி நிகழ்ச்சியை முதன்முறையாக யாழ்பாணத்தில் வெற்றிகரமாக நடாத்துவதற்கு Evershine Kids World உடன் இணைந்து கொண்ட அனைவருக்கும் எமது மனமார்ந்த நன்றியை தெரிவியத்துகொள்கிறோம்.

மேலும் இந்த பயிற்சிநெறியை சிறப்பாக வழிநடத்திய Dasun Nilanjana Srimevan அவர்களுக்கு எங்களின் இதயம் கனிந்த நன்றிகளை தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறோம். In alignment with the revised National Curriculum which emphasizes the importance of STEAM education at the foundational stage of early childhood and recognizing its integration into the National Early Childhood Education Curriculum Framework developed by the National Institute of Education, we extend our sincere appreciation to all those who collaborated with Evershine Kids World in successfully organizing and conducting this introductory STEAM Workshop for the first time in Jaffna.

We also express our heartfelt gratitude to Dasun Nilanjana Srimevan, Director and Founder of STEAM Education Sri Lanka for his visionary leadership and expert facilitation. His academic specialization in STEAM Education together with his extensive experience engaging diverse learner groups from school students to professionals significantly enhanced the quality and impact of the program.

We are also deeply appreciative of Dr. Patrick Leaney, Chartered Chemical Engineer (UK) and Volunteer STEAM Trainer for his insightful contributions as well as Mrs. Jane Groom, former Director of Communications to the UK Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and former Head of Communications at The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Office for her distinguished presence and valuable guidance throughout the workshop.

*** We are further delighted and honored that, following the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Jaffna and Jaffna Hindu College, Evershine Kids World was also selected as a partner institution to introduce this training program in Jaffna for the first time.***

Our STEAM Workshop at Evershine Kids World empowered our little learners through hands-on exploration, creativity and problem-solving. Scientific research highlights that early childhood is the most critical phase of brain development.

Experiences during this period shape cognitive ability, emotional intelligence, creativity
and social skills. By integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, STEAM learning provides the stimulation children need to build strong neural connections, think critically and develop lifelong learning abilities.

At the Montessori level, incorporating STEAM education further enhances:

• Sensorial and experiential learning through hands-on activities
• Independent thinking and problem-solving skills
• Creativity and imagination through open-ended exploration
• Fine motor skills and coordination
• Collaboration, communication and confidence in little learners

A successful and inspiring completion of the STEAM Workshop by Evershine Kids World.

Our little learners were actively engaged, curious, and full of excitement throughout the session. It was truly rewarding to witness their enthusiasm as they explored, created, and discovered new concepts through hands-on learning. Every moment of the workshop reflected joy, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences.
