St. Patrick's College, Jaffna Wins First Place in District-Level Medical Quiz Competition
Students Receive Awards from the President of Sri Lanka
St. Patrick's College, Jaffna, secured First Place in the district-level inter-school quiz competition organized by the Sri Lanka Medical College Community.
A total of nine schools from the Jaffna District participated in this prestigious competition, making the achievement even more significant.
The award ceremony for the winning teams was held on 21 July at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo, under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka.
The students of St. Patrick's College were honoured by receiving their awards from the President in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The Grade One Admission Selection Interview and Entrance Examination were successfully conducted today at St. Patrick's College, Jaffna, under the leadership of the Rector, together with the College Administration and the dedicated Primary Section staff.
We sincerely thank all the parents for their cooperation and extend our appreciation to the teachers and staff members whose commitment and hard work ensured the smooth and successful completion of the selection process.

The College Community of St. Patrick's College, Jaffna, successfully hosted the grand inauguration of the Student Parliament for the academic year 2026 on July 1, 2026, at the historic Matthews Hall.
The event marked the official commencement of leadership duties for our newly appointed student parliamentarians, who stepped forward to embrace governance, responsibility, and service.
Presided by: Rev. Fr. A. Edwinathan (Sectional Head), who reminded the student leaders to lead with faith, labour, and integrity.
Chief Guest: Mrs. R.C.J. Collinton (Assistant Director of Education โ Social Science, Zonal Education Office, Jaffna), who inspired the gathering on the importance of civic duty and social science in leadership.
Special Guest: Mrs. Kajinthan Bamini (National Integration Development Officer, Divisional Secretariat, Jaffna), who spoke passionately about unity, national integration, and youth empowerment.
From the solemn oath-taking ceremony to the inspiring words delivered by our guests, the event was a beautiful reflection of Patrician discipline and excellence. The student leaders pledged to serve their peers and uphold the glorious traditions of our alma mater.
