🌕✨ Tomorrow’s Total Lunar Eclipse – September 7, 2025 ✨🌑

In this graphic we created, you can clearly see the journey of the Moon as it passes through Earth’s shadow during tomorrow’s total lunar eclipse. The diagram shows the Moon’s path across the penumbra (Earth’s lighter outer shadow) and into the umbra (Earth’s darker inner shadow), along with the exact Universal Time (UT) for each phase of the eclipse.

🔸 At 15:27 UT, the Moon first enters the penumbra—this stage is subtle and nearly unobservable.
🔸 At 16:27 UT, the partial eclipse begins, as Earth’s umbra starts to cover the lunar surface.
🔸 By 17:30 UT, the Moon is fully immersed in Earth’s shadow, marking the start of totality, and transforming it into a stunning Blood Moon.
🔸 The eclipse reaches its peak at 18:12 UT, when the entire disk glows deep red, illuminated by refracted light from all the sunsets and sunrises on Earth.
🔸 Totality lasts until 18:53 UT, after which the Moon gradually exits the umbra.
🔸 The eclipse ends at 20:57 UT when the Moon leaves the penumbra.

🌍 This spectacular event will be visible to over 7 billion people across Asia, Australia, Africa, and eastern Europe. Whether you catch the whole event or just part of it, tomorrow’s sky will put on a breathtaking show!

2025 සැප්තැම්බර් 7-8 දින ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ඇතුළු ආසියාවට පූර්ණ චන්ද්‍ර ග්‍රහණයක් දැකිය හැකි අතර, රාත්‍රී 8:58ට ආරම්භ වී 11:41ට උපරිමයට, අලුයම 2:25ට අවසන් වේ. “Blood Moon” ලෙස රතු පැහැයෙන් පෙනෙන මෙය ඇසින්ම හෝ binocular/දුරේක්ෂයෙන් නිරීක්ෂණය කළ හැක. අවසන් වරට මෙවැනි ග්‍රහණයක් 2018 ජූලි 27 දී පෙනී තිබුණි, නැවත 2028 දී දැකිය හැක.

🌌 Tonight & Tomorrow – A Double Celestial Spectacle

For two nights only — August 12–13 — the sky will host a breathtaking cosmic show: the Perseid Meteor Shower and a Venus–Jupiter Conjunction.

The Perseids, born from the dusty wake of Comet Swift–Tuttle, will send up to 100 meteors per hour blazing across the Milky Way. Traveling at nearly 59 km/s (133,000 mph), these meteors often burn in brilliant emerald and golden hues, leaving glowing trails of stardust.

At the same time, our two brightest planets — Venus and Jupiter — will appear close together in the evening sky. Though separated by hundreds of millions of kilometers, their apparent alignment from Earth creates a rare and dazzling pairing.
