Huge congratulations to Sandeepa Kaushal , a proud BSc in Multimedia graduate, for receiving an Honorable Mention at the Veterans Media Festival (USA) for his docudrama "අපේක්ෂා" (Hope).
From being a standout final production selected for Sri Lanka's Agenda 14 Films to winning hearts in the USA, Sandeepa’s journey is truly inspiring.

Daruka Koralagedara, an undergraduate of the NSBM Green University (BSc in Multimedia), has been officially selected to the 13th Effat International Student Film Festival, Saudi Arabia for his AI short film “The Soul of The Canvas.”
This marks a significant milestone in AI-driven film technology and showcases the strength of our Multimedia Degree Program, which is deeply integrated with cutting-edge tools like Artificial Intelligence.
Notably, Daruka also secured 1st place at Sri Lanka’s first university AI film production & screening event, hosted by NSBM.
The future of cinema is here — and it’s being created at NSBM!

ශ්රී ලංකාව තුළ බිහිවෙමින් සිටින අංකුර සිනමාකරුවන්ට මෙන්ම ලෝකය පුරා විහිදුණු තරුණ සිනමාකරුවන්ට සිය නිර්මාණාත්මක හැකියාව උරගා බලන්නට අවස්ථාව සලසමින් NSBM හරිත සරසවිය සිය 03 වැනි කෙටි චිත්රපට සම්මාන උළෙල මෙවර ජාත්යන්තර මට්ටමේ සම්මාන උළෙලක් ලෙස පවත්වන්නට සූදානමින් සිටී. ඒ NSBM International Youth Film Festival ලෙසයි. ඒ යටතේ එම සම්මාන උළෙලේදී දේශීය කෙටි චිත්රපට නිර්මාණකරුවන්ට මෙන්ම විදේශීය කෙටි චිත්රපට නිර්මාණකරුවන්ට සම්මාන පිරිනැමීමට නියමිතය.
NSBM Green University is proud to announce its 3rd Short Film Awards Ceremony, now reaching a global stage as the NSBM International Youth Film Festival.
This festival provides a premier platform for both budding Sri Lankan filmmakers and young creators from around the world to showcase their creative talents. For the first time, this international-level event will present awards to both local and foreign short-film directors.
