What an amazing day of learning, interaction, and fun!
Our students actively participated in a variety of English language activities that helped build their confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and creativity. It was wonderful to see them using English in real-life situations and enjoying every moment of the experience.

On May 22nd, Grade 10 and 11 students of Vidura College gathered in the main hall for a powerful, student-led open discussion on the challenges faced by teenagers in the modern world
Ten fantastic panelists took the stage, fielding tough questions from their peers with incredible maturity. It was an amazing opportunity for everyone to sharpen their public speaking, fluency, and leadership skills

On the 27th of April 2026, the Interact Club of Vidura College donated barn heaters to the "Udawalawa Elephant Transit Home" as part of Project Hasthi, supporting the care of orphaned elephant calves. These heaters play a vital role in providing warmth, comfort, and protection to young elephants who have been separated from their mothers, helping them recover and grow within a safe and nurturing environment.
This initiative stands as a reflection of the values Vidura College instills in its students — compassion, responsibility, and kindness towards all living beings. Through Project Hasthi, we were able to contribute towards creating a safer and more comfortable future for these gentle giants, whose survival and wellbeing depend on the care and protection they receive.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our Principal Sir, Mr. D. G. Sumanasekara, for his continuous guidance and support in encouraging meaningful acts of service and humanity.

On 12th May 2026, a new journey officially began for the 2028 Advanced Level Batch.
Welcoming our students as they step into a chapter filled with dreams, challenges, friendships, and unforgettable memories. The Advanced Level journey commenced with blessings and guidance through a serene morning Buddha Pooja, reflecting the cultural and spiritual values proudly nurtured at Vidura College.
Here’s to new beginnings, greater achievements, and a future built with determination, discipline, and hard work.
