Clayton College was first established in 1962 as a Government approved private college in Bandarawela, under N.S.B.C. 381. The present owner and the Managing Directress of the College is Mrs. S.A. Kamani Subasinghe. The Founder Principal is Mr. Gamini Jayasekara. Mr V.V. Moonasinghe, a renowned Principal and an educationist in Gampaha District made a sincere effort to re-establish Clayton College in Henpitagedera.
