A Home Away from Home
Julianne Perera a holder of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Diploma in Child and Counseling Psychology along with an AMI Certification from St. Bridget’s Convent and a teaching experience of over 18 year, including 12 years in a leading school in Sri Lanka, decided to take her love for teaching young children to the next level through the launch of her own Montessori ‘Small Wonders - Learn and Play House’. Conveniently located in Hendala, with ease of access and setup at her home, Small Wonders offers children a homely yet educational environment in which to learn the basic skills, social skills and vocabulary essential for their future. The curriculum offered is based on the AMI Montessori system that enables children to maneuver confidently the very basics of pre-school education, thus assuring the child’s knowledge, skills and abilities to develop to greater levels alongside with good disciplines prior to being graduated. We at Small Wonders work tirelessly to bring out a child’s fullest potential and confidence enabling them to adopt the lessons of primary and secondary education and to grow up to be productive to society and to the nation as a whole.
