We had a wonderful training session conducted by Sabumnim David Lang from England 🏴 a well experienced instructor, who is based in Kuala Lampur 🇲🇾
He has a great knowledge in competition sparring and real life sparring. The students had an intense training, since the weather was cool it was easy.
Our students were fortunate to get a very valuable training of this kind.
The recently graded students also received the certificates and belts and was presented by Sabumnim David Lang. We were privileged to celebrate his birthday in our dojang⛩️
Although it was a short stay in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 it was a great time for all of us.
We are pleased to share the achievement our Secretary, Gayathree Nayanajeehwi, who recently participated at the 6th Open Malaysian Taekwon-Do Federation (MTF) National Championship in Kuala Lumpur.
Serving as an umpire on Day 1 and competing on Day 2 representing MTF Kelantan, she secured a bronze medal in Sparring 19+ years F 1–6.dan 52.1-59.0kg category.
We extend our congratulations on this accomplishment and commend her dedication to the sport both on and off the mat.

15th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Taekwon-Do Association
When there was only one Taekwon-Do orgnization in Sri Lanka. Presided by Master Cyril Antony.
There were Reverend Buddhist Monks among his students, where they could learn Taekwon-Do.
Today, April 11, 2026, we celebrate the 71st anniversary of the naming of Taekwon-Do.
On 11 April 1955, the name Taekwon-Do was officially presented, marking the beginning of a journey that would grow into a global martial art practiced by millions. For 71 years, Taekwon-Do has represented discipline, respect, perseverance, and continuous self-development.
Our global community continues to honor this legacy through shared milestones. And just three weeks ago, we also celebrated the 60th anniversary of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, marking six decades of dedication to developing and preserving Taekwon-Do worldwide.
As we mark 71 years since the naming of our art, we celebrate our history and look forward to the future together.
