​The Lumbini College Oratory and Debating Union is extremely proud to celebrate a phenomenal academic victory from one of our own!

​Massive congratulations to our brilliant debater, 𝑽𝒊𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒉𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂, for securing an outstanding 9 A's at the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (O/L) Examinations. 🎓✨

​Whether he is meticulously constructing arguments, challenging opposing views, or hitting the books, Vibodha consistently proves that the sharp logic and dedication he brings to the podium translate flawlessly into academic excellence. We are incredibly proud to see him conquer his exams with the same passion and eloquence he uses to command the stage.

🏆 The Power of Grit: A Journey of Not Settling

​They say success is a choice, but for some, it’s a hard-fought battle.

​Since he was a kid, he had a natural spark for fixing things and a drive for innovation, always curious about how the world works. After securing a brilliant 8As and 1B at his O/Ls, he could have walked away to another school. Instead, he chose loyalty, staying back at Lumbini College to take on the challenge of the Physical Science stream. For the next two years, he became a solid 4th speaker in our oratory and debating union, proving that you can balance the intensity of the debating stage with the rigor of the classroom.

​But the real test of character came in 2024. With 3Bs in his first attempt, the doors to a university were already open. Most people told him to take the seat and move on. But for a mind built for engineering and innovation, "good enough" wasn't the goal. He knew he had more in him, and he wasn't ready to let go of his engineering dream just for the sake of safety.

​Choosing the "hard way," he faced the 2025 A/L exam with nothing but self-confidence and pure grit. Today, that courage has paid off with a stunning 2As and 1B. We saw the sweat, the pressure, and the relentless drive. To our "inspirational dial," thank you for showing us that you don't have to settle when you’re destined for greatness.
