Kindergarten children learn about different kinds of animals to help them understand the natural world and develop early science skills. They learn to identify animals by their appearance, including their colour, size, and body coverings such as fur, feathers, or scales. They also recognise animals by the sounds they make, such as barking, roaring, chirping, or mooing, and learn about the places where they live, including farms, forests, jungles, oceans, deserts, and homes. In addition, children discover what different animals eat, how they move, and how they care for their babies. These activities encourage curiosity, observation, and a love for nature.
