Our team recently embarked on a field visit to the picturesque village of Madulkale, nestled in the borderlands of the Knuckles World Heritage Site. 🏞️ This vibrant community boasts a rich tapestry of cultures, including Sinhala, Malaiyaha Tamils, and Muslims, all coexisting harmoniously.
During our visit, we had the privilege of engaging with the dynamic youth population to better understand their aspirations and needs, particularly in the wake of recent crises. 🤝 Through insightful surveys and meaningful conversations, we uncovered a wealth of potential waiting to be tapped into.
It became evident that Madulkale possesses immense opportunities in both tourism and agriculture sectors. 🌱🗺️ However, a significant obstacle stands in the way: the lack of technological knowledge and digital literacy. While the community members possess basic understanding, they haven't fully leveraged digital platforms and tools to advance their development.
