Department of Business Administration-University of Sri Jayewardenepura The Department of Business Administration (DBA) is the pioneer in introducing the first Management Degree in Sri Lanka.

It is the oldest and the largest Department in the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. It primarily offers interdisciplinary study programmes aimed at producing competent generalist in business management. Currently, it serves about 750 internal undergraduates and more than 21,000 external undergraduates. The Business Administration Degree has a history of more than fifty years as the pioneering and leading Degree programme in the field of Management Education in Sri Lanka. It has earned much popularity and recognition from its inception. Its study programmes are continually being upgraded and redesigned to produce competent business leaders to cater to the emerging demands and challenges of the ever changing world of work.
