The sheer pride on the children's faces as they collect their homegrown cucumbers and tiny green chilies is a beautiful testament to the power of practical life work. In guiding our Little Hearts to cultivate their own produce, we are doing so much more than tending a garden, we are nurturing compassionate global citizens. We believe that experiencing this joy and mastering these sustainable, organic methods today is the foundation for building a better, more resilient world tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed Poson Poya! ☸️

As we celebrate this sacred day, we are overjoyed to share the beautiful moments from our Montessori Poson celebration. Our event was made incredibly special by a visit from The Chief Incumbent of the Sri Sugatha Subhadrarama Purana Viharaya, Galahitiyawa.

The Venerable Monk kindly shared a wonderful Dhamma talk tailored perfectly for our little ones, focusing on:

Love & Respect: The absolute importance of loving, respecting, and deeply listening to their parents.

Compassion for All: Tying beautifully into the true spirit of Poson, he taught the children never to harm any living creatures.

Understanding Karma: He shared a profound lesson on karma, explaining that disrespecting parents or doing harm to animals brings bad karma. He beautifully explained that even if one is born into the best of lives in the future, nobody can avoid the consequences of that bad karma.

The children absolutely loved the experience! It was wonderful to see them so engaged, asking tons of curious questions and eagerly shouting out their own sweet answers.

A Special Highlight: The Chief Incumbent was deeply touched and specially praised our little ones. He mentioned how wonderful it was to hear such young children reciting their Gathas so beautifully and confidently!

May the blessings of the Noble Triple Gem be with you and your families today and always.
