Oath taking and certificate awarding ceremony of St. John Ambulance Brigade, Gampola Zahira College Division was held on 29th November 2023. Mr. Ajith Dissanayake - Additional District Commissioner graced the event as the Chief Guest and Mr. A. C. M. Inshaf - Assistant Commissioner NHQ participated as the guest of honor.

Brigadier T.N Majeed RSP USP ndc Isc assumed duties as the New Director of the Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine on 27 May 2024, at the Army Headquarters office amidst military formalities.

Mr. I.A.M. Afshan (SLEAS) Assumed duties as the Principal of Gampola Zahira College today, after receiving his official appointment letter from the Minister of Education Hon. Susil Premajaynth. He was a former Assistant Commissioner of the Education Publication Department, Isurupaya Battaramulla. We wish him all luck to deliver his best for the betterment of the college in the future.

The official relaunch and Badge Awarding Ceremony of Gampola Zahira College Road Traffic unit was held at the college auditorium yesterday (18/01/2023).
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Principal Mr.Disnayake , Members of SMT and SDC.
Gampola Zahira College Past Pupils' Association initiated to reactivate the College Road traffic unit with the approval of the Acting principal Mr. Rajakaruna.
We take this opportunity to thank Mr. Indika Bandara Nawalage (Traffic OIC - Gampola police) and his team for accepting our invitation and conducting a practical training session to the students of the College Road traffic unit.
Traffic unit deployed to perform their duties from today (19/01/2023) under the supervision and guidance of traffic OIC of Gampola police and his team.
We wish our Road traffic unit all the best!
