Meet your Educator

RAVEENA THAMBUGALA

I’m Raveena Thambugala, a language educator, translator and lifelong learner who truly believes in the power of education to open minds and create opportunities.

My academic journey began with a BA (Hons) in Language Translation Studies from the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. I furthered my language skills with DELF A2 & B1 from Alliance Française, completed a Postgraduate Diploma in TESOL from the London Teacher Training College, and earned an MA in International Relations with the gold medal for the best dissertation from BCIS.

With over 3 years of experience in International School teaching and more than 10 years of tuition teaching, I have had the privilege of working with diverse learners and helping them build confidence in English and French.

I am currently working as a Director of Education at a reputed culinary campus, and I am also a certified sworn translator.

Teaching, for me, is more than a profession – it’s a way to connect, inspire and empower. I love seeing my students grow, discover their potential and realise that a new language can open a whole new world.

I look forward to being a part of your learning journey.
