The legacy of Mahinda marches ahead!
Congratulations to Ihanse Uvith Kariyawasam, the newly appointed Sergeant of the Mahinda College Western Cadet Band.

මහින්ද විද්‍යාලයීය ජ්‍යේෂ්ඨ ශිෂ්‍ය නායක මණ්ඩලය, මහින්ද විද්‍යාලයීය පළමු ගාලු මහින්ද බාල්දක්ෂ සමූහය සමඟ එක්ව සිදු කරනු ලබන මෙම සත්කාරය සඳහා පොත්, ලිපිද්‍රව්‍ය, පාසල් උපකරණ ආදිය ඔබට හැකි පමණින් පරිත්‍යාග කර අප හා අත්වැල් බැඳ ගන්නා මෙන් ගෞරවයෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටිමු.
ඔබගේ පරිත්‍යාගයන් 2026.01.08 දිනට පෙර විද්‍යාලයීය පිවිසුම අසලට ගෙනැවිත් භාර දෙන ලෙසද කාරුණිකව ඉල්ලා සිටිමු.

A heartfelt thank you to the Mahinda College Junior Old Boys Association for leading the Mihindu Sahana Yathra with unwavering dedication and compassion. ❤️

As the final phase of the relief mission concludes, essential packs and critical supplies worth over LKR 10 million were handed over to the Sri Lanka Army—marking the last milestone of an extraordinary journey that supported communities across Mahiyanganaya, Badulla, Peradeniya, Galle Four Gravets, Koggala Air Force Base, and many more affected areas.

As the final phase of the Mihindu Sahana Yathra, we successfully handed over essential packs and critical relief items valued at over LKR 10 million to the Sri Lanka Army. With this final delivery, our collective journey of compassion reaches its last milestone following the continuous support extended over the past days to affected communities across Mahiyanganaya, Badulla, Peradeniya, Galle Four Gravets, Koggala Air Force Base, and many more locations. From receiving donations, to tirelessly packing day and night, to dispatching massive loads of essentials every moment has been fueled by unity, generosity, and the unwavering will to help those in need. This mission was made possible by the extraordinary kindness of our donors, the hard work of our volunteers, and the unbreakable spirit of the young Mahindians who stood together for the nation when it mattered the most. Thank you to everyone who contributed, supported, and believed in this journey. Mahinda College stands united to rebuild Hindu College, Peradeniya, supporting its students under the leadership of our Principal, with the full backing of the School Development Society and the Old Boys’ Association, and the approval of the Ministry of Education. No financial contributions are being collected at this stage. Official requirements will be shared in due course.

We learned the same alphabet, and yet today, we are not the same.

We are equally proud and inspired by our wider community, whose support led us to join a cause that will last a lifetime.

We’re proud to announce that the Mahinda Community will take over the reconstruction of Hindu College, Peradeniya.
