🧠 Preschool Activities Aren’t “Just Play” — There’s a Purpose Behind Every Activity!
අපි preschool එකේදී බබාලට letters, numbers, colours කියලා දෙන එක විතරක් කරන්නේ නැහැ.
ඒ වෙනුවට, ඔවුන්ට touch කරන්න, move කරන්න, match කරන්න, create කරන්න, try කරන්න සහ discover කරන්න අවස්ථාව දෙනවා.
මේ වගේ simple activity එකක් බලද්දි “බබාලා letters ටිකක් match කරනවා” වගේ පෙනුණත්, ඇත්තටම ඒ පිටුපස ගොඩක් learning skills develop වෙනවා. 🌱
🔤 1. Letter Recognition
Letters හඳුනාගන්න, එකිනෙකට වෙනස් shapes observe කරන්න සහ correct letter එක match කරන්න බබාලා ඉගෙනගන්නවා.
✋ 2. Fine Motor Skills
Letters අල්ලනවා, move කරනවා, correct place එකට තියනවා වගේ movements වලින් fingers සහ hands වල small muscles strengthen වෙනවා. මේ skills පසුව writing, drawing & colouring වගේ දේවල්වලට ගොඩක් වැදගත්.
👀 3. Hand-Eye Coordination
ඇස්වලින් බලලා, අතින් ඒකට අනුව action එක කරන්න ඉගෙනගැනීම තුළින් hand-eye coordination develop වෙනවා.
🧩 4. Problem-Solving Skills
“මේ shape එක කොහෙද fit වෙන්නේ?” කියලා හිතලා try කරනකොට, බබා naturally think, try, correct & try again කරනවා.
🎯 5. Focus & Concentration
Activity එක complete කරන්න අවධානය යොමු කරන නිසා, gradually attention span & concentration develop වෙනවා.
🎨 6. Creativity & Confidence
තමන්ම explore කරලා answer එක හොයාගන්නකොට, “I can do it!” කියන confidence එක build වෙනවා.

අපිට වැදගත්ම දේ තමයි — බබාට learning එක pressure එකක් නොවී fun experience එකක් බවට පත් කිරීම.
So, why do we do activities like this?
Because preschool learning is not only about what a child knows — it’s also about how a child thinks, moves, explores and learns.
