Telford International School proudly conducted a felicitation ceremony to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Under-18 and Under-14 Football Teams, who have brought immense pride and glory to the school through their remarkable performances.

Our Under-18 Football Team emerged as Runners-up at the Inter-School Under-18 Football Tournament 2026 – Southern Province, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, dedication, and determination throughout the competition.

Special congratulations to Master Najath Najimun for being awarded the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament in recognition of his outstanding performances.

Adding to this success, our Under-14 Football Team emerged as Champions, securing a prestigious title through their hard work, discipline, and unwavering team spirit.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Coach Mr. Nishantha Akmeemana and Teacher-in-Charge of Sports Mr. K. M. Chiththrasiri for their continuous guidance, commitment, and encouragement in nurturing sporting excellence at Telford International School.

Congratulations to Master Rumeth Sasiviru, Captain of the Under-18 Team, and to all the players of both teams for representing our school with pride and distinction.

Vesak Religious Programme – Secondary Section

Students of the Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary Sections of Telford International School participated in a meaningful Vesak religious programme in commemoration of Sambuddha Themagula – 2026. Through spiritual activities and religious observances, students were encouraged to reflect on the values of discipline, mindfulness, gratitude, and compassion while appreciating Buddhist traditions and cultural heritage.

We sincerely appreciate the efforts of the staff, parents, and everyone who contributed to making this programme meaningful and successful.

Vesak Celebrations – Telford International School

Pre-Primary and Primary Sections

In celebration of Vesak, students from Grades 1 to 5 of the Pre-Primary and Primary Sections of Telford International School visited Jayawardhanaramaya Temple, Galle, to receive blessings from the monks and participate in a meaningful spiritual experience.

During the visit, the students respectfully offered pirikara and engaged in acts of merit, fostering an appreciation for Buddhist traditions and values.
This educational and spiritual activity provided the students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of compassion, gratitude, mindfulness, and respect core principles associated with Vesak and Buddhist teachings.

The experience encouraged cultural awareness and moral reflection, enabling students to connect classroom learning with meaningful religious and social practices.

The students participated with great enthusiasm, demonstrating reverence and appreciation throughout the programme while thoroughly enjoying the day’s activities. Such experiences play a significant role in nurturing spiritual understanding, character development, and respect for cultural heritage among young learners.
