2028 Advanced Level Economics Theory Class
Why are we different from other classes?
We conduct an exam after each tute, which helps students stay on track consistently. This method improves subject understanding, builds confidence, and prepares students effectively for the A/L examination.

In my classes, I don’t believe in just memorizing definitions from a textbook. Economics is alive, and I want you to see it.
My Teaching Signature: "Practice First, Theory Second" 🛠️📖
I use a unique pedagogical approach that I’ve refined over the years. Instead of starting with dry slides, we flip the script:
The Method (The "How"): I start by showing you a real-world process or a live demonstration. We look at the "how" before the "why."
Practical Examples: We dive into case studies—from pin factories to modern software development teams—to see how breaking down tasks boosts efficiency.
The Theory: Once you’ve seen it work with your own eyes, we connect it back to the core economic theories.
By the time we hit the "theory" part, you already understand it because you’ve seen it in motion!

In Central Bank of Sri Lanka, “central bank interference to protect the dollar rate” means the Central Bank steps into the foreign exchange market to prevent the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) from falling too quickly against the US Dollar (USD).
How the Central Bank interferes
The Central Bank can:
* Sell US dollars from its foreign reserves
→ This increases the supply of dollars in the market and helps reduce pressure on the dollar price.
* Buy US dollars
→ This can prevent the rupee from appreciating too much and helps build reserves.
* Control interest rates
→ Higher interest rates can reduce demand for imports and foreign currency.
* Impose regulations or restrictions
→ Such as import controls, limits on foreign currency transactions, or guidance to banks.
Sri Lanka mainly follows a managed float exchange rate system, meaning the exchange rate is mostly determined by demand and supply, but the Central Bank may intervene during excessive volatility.
