🌕 Blessed Binara Full Moon Poya Day

Refused three times, Maha Pajapati Gotami did not give up. She cut off her hair, put on robes and walked barefoot from Kapilavatthu to Vesali with 500 Sakyan women. Through Venerable Ananda, the Buddha agreed to ordain women, and she became the first Bhikkhuni.
