Job Vacancy: Draftsperson – Engineering Drafting
📍 Location: Brisbane, QLD, Australia

We are seeking skilled and experienced Draftspersons to join a Brisbane-based engineering team. The role involves preparing shop detailing drawings and 3D models for concrete structures, working closely with the drafting team and project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

Requirements:
✅ Age below 42 years
✅ Relevant diploma or higher in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field
✅ Minimum 3+ years of experience in drafting
✅ Mandatory experience in drafting and modeling software (including Autodesk Revit)
✅ IELTS minimum 6.0 overall
✅ Strong attention to detail and ability to work with architectural and structural drawings
✅ Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills

Australian Immigration Update 🇦🇺

Australia has introduced a new law under the Migration Amendment (2026 Measures No. 1) Act 2026, allowing a temporary ban on certain groups of travellers during international crises.

👉 This mainly targets specific temporary visa holders from high-risk or conflict-affected regions (e.g. war zones or areas with security concerns).
👉 The restriction can be imposed for up to 6 months without cancelling visas.
👉 Important: This does NOT apply to everyone and is only used in specific situations.

⚠️ As of now, no such ban has been announced affecting Sri Lankans, and we do not have further details yet as this is a very recent development.

ℹ️ This is more of a precautionary/legal measure by the government, and not a general restriction on travellers.
