🥭🍒🍓Fun, fruits, and sustainability! 🍏🍐🍅

Our Montessori children celebrated a vibrant Fruit Fancy Dress Parade in beautiful, homemade eco-friendly costumes.

The day was packed with sensory learning as they tasted, touched, and smelled different fruits. We even explored the magic of nature by learning how to turn fruit peels into compost! 🌱🍍

🐌Marvelous Mollusks🐌

Garden Discoveries at Montessori today !

We discovered a fascinating real, live snail in our garden today.

This hands-on discovery sparked an amazing, child-led discussion about the Snail Anatomy as they observed its shell, its soft body and how it moves.

The children learned that snails are invertebrates (animals without backbones) and belong to the mollusk family.

We talked about how these little creatures play a huge role in nature by cleaning up the soil and help with 'composting' which we talk about in our 'Think Green' concept this term.

There is nothing quite like real-life experience to ignite curiosity.

✨️Integrating Cosmic Education & Sustainability✨️

We had fun today learning the correct way to peel and eat a banana and making fertilizer using banana peel.

We also learnt that banana peel fertilizer
🍌 is a highly sustainable zero-waste practice that turns kitchen scraps into a nutrient-rich booster for our garden.

🍌 By recycling banana peels we reduce food waste sent to landfills and reduce greenhouse gases

🌾The Journey of a Grain of Rice, From Paddy Field to Plate. 🌾

Understanding where our food comes from changes how we view every meal. When we see the labor, water, and energy required to grow and transport food, we naturally waste less.

Children learnt :
• Knowing the journey from farm to plate builds respect for the work behind our meals.

• When we understand the effort involved, we tend to take smaller portions and throw away less.

• Wasting a single meal also wastes the fuel, water, and fertilizer used to make it.
