We are delighted to congratulate Praveen Athauda-Arachchi on his outstanding achievement of being selected to the Sri Lanka National Team for the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) 2026! 👏💻
Following an exceptional performance at the National Olympiad in Informatics, Praveen has earned a place among the four students selected to represent Sri Lanka at the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026), which will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 9–16 August 2026.
This achievement becomes even more special as this marks the third consecutive year that Praveen has been selected to represent Sri Lanka, highlighting his consistency, talent, and dedication at the highest level.

The IOI is one of the world’s most prestigious computer science competitions, bringing together talented students from around 100 countries. Representing Sri Lanka at this level is a remarkable achievement and a moment of great pride for both Praveen and our school community.

Praveen’s success reflects his hard work, determination, problem-solving ability, and passion for learning. His journey is an inspiration to many young students to dream big, work hard, and believe in their abilities.

It was inspiring to watch our students challenge ideas with passion, intelligence and respect, proving that debate is not just about speaking well, but about listening, analysing and thinking deeply.
