A ceremony to mark Community Empowerment Month was held in Polonnaruwa at the District Secretariat under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply, Hon. Mr. T. B. Sarath. Also Present were Mr. Sunil Rathnasiri Member of Parliament, Polonnaruwa, Ms. Sujatha Ekanayake, District Secretary Polonnaruwa, Ms. Lakshmi Rathnayake, District Samurdhi Director Polonnaruwa celebrating the strength, resilience, and collective spirit of communities working towards a better future. Australasian Academy has partnered with Department of Samurdhi Development to develop skills of the Aswasuma recipients. 🌿 A Meaningful Day of Learning & Care

Australasian Academy was pleased to conduct an Aged Care Workshop, providing our students and participants with valuable knowledge and practical insights into caring for older adults.

The session explored important areas including dementia care, falls prevention, frailty fracture care, geriatric palliative care, enhancing quality of life, and dignified ageing. It was an insightful and engaging experience for everyone who took part. 💙

A special thank you to Dr. Sithira Senevirathne, Consultant Geriatrician at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, for sharing his expertise, experience, and valuable knowledge with our participants. Your contribution made the workshop truly meaningful and enriching. 👏
