Radio Club of Royal College The Official page of the Radio Club of Royal College, Colombo 07. H.L Reed. It was first named as the Radio Listeners Club of Royal College.

Royal College Radio Club was inaugurated in the year of 1925 during the tenure of then principal of Royal College - Mr. Subsequently by 1930 the club was renamed as the Radio Club of Royal College. By the year of 1994 its members successfully aired Asia’s first ever 24-hour school radio channel ‘FMRoyal’ using the FM frequency 103.1 MHz. Members of the club
maintain and operate much of the Audiovisual assets at the College,
including the sound systems and the school’s PA systems, it also provides
services to other clubs and societies on a frequent basis on matters which
concern electronics, audio or video, and liaise with other schools on these
matters as well. Radio Club is active with active major projects like Creative thinking,
Aerial videography and is responsible for the PA system and has many
minor projects that function throughout the year. Our Vision

To inspire young Royalists in many fields of radio and technology to make
them capable of working with various technologies and create a platform
where they can motivate themselves to research and think New, rather
than recreating which is currently practiced in the country. Our Mission

To create an atmosphere where the students will be able to learn different
fields of radio and technology. To integrate, innovate and enhance the
knowledge of the schooling community of Royal College, then use their
imagination and innovative skills to conduct research in a student level. Top Board for the Year 2022
