The Official page of the Radio Club of Royal College, Colombo 07. H.L Reed. It was first named as the Radio Listeners Club of Royal College.

Royal College Radio Club was inaugurated in the year of 1925 during the tenure of then principal of Royal College - Mr. Subsequently by 1930 the club was renamed as the Radio Club of Royal College. By the year of 1994 its members successfully aired Asia’s first ever 24-hour school radio channel ‘FMRoyal’ using the FM frequency 103.1 MHz. Members of the club

We are proud to share that the Royal College Radio Club has been awarded an A Grade at the Clubs and Societies Felicitation Ceremony, along with the Special Award for the Best Service Providing Project for SoundZone’25. In addition, FM Royal’25l was nominated for the Best Digital Project.

From providing sound coverage for events and managing broadcasts to supporting school functions and representing the Club with professionalism and dedication, the consistent effort shown throughout the year made this possible. Each contribution, big or small, played a role in upholding the standard and reputation of the club.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone involved for their hard work and commitment.

Wrapping Up the Series

With great success, the Radio Club of Royal College concludes Phase 2 – TECHNOBOT'25 of the Educational Workshop Series'25, further advancing our mission of educational and technological development.

This phase featured an insightful quiz competition centered around DJ and related technologies, providing an interactive platform for students to expand their knowledge, showcase their skills, and engage in healthy intellectual competition.
