Neurodevelopment Update – Follow-up Session for the Eastern Province!

The Sri Lanka Association for Child Development, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians and the Batticaloa Medical Association, is pleased to organize a follow-up session on Neurodevelopment for healthcare professionals in the Eastern Province.

Date: 11 May 2026
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Venue: Provincial Health Training Centre, Batticaloa

This session is designed to reinforce and build upon the knowledge and skills shared during previous training programmes, with a focus on practical approaches to developmental assessment and early intervention.

This follow-up session is designed exclusively for therapists involved in Paediatric neurodevelopment services. Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and language therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals are warmly invited to participate and further enhance their clinical knowledge and practical skills in developmental assessment and early intervention.

Together, let us continue to strengthen neurodevelopmental services for children and families in the Eastern Province!

இலங்கை குழந்தை வளர்ச்சி சங்கம், இலங்கை குழந்தை மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் மட்டக்களப்பு மருத்துவ சங்கம் ஆகியவற்றின் இணைந்த ஏற்பாட்டில், கிழக்கு மாகாண சுகாதாரத் துறையினருக்காக நரம்பியல் வளர்ச்சி தொடர்பான தொடர்ச்சிப் பயிற்சி அமர்வு ஒன்று நடத்தப்படுகிறது.

முன்னதாக நடைபெற்ற பயிற்சி அமர்வுகளில் பகிரப்பட்ட அறிவையும் திறன்களையும் மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில், குழந்தைகளின் வளர்ச்சி மதிப்பீடு மற்றும் ஆரம்ப தலையீட்டு முறைகள் குறித்து இவ்வமர்வு நடைமுறை ரீதியாக கவனம் செலுத்தும்.
குழந்தை நரம்பியல் வளர்ச்சி சேவைகளில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள சிகிச்சையியலாளர்கள் மற்றும் சுகாதாரத் தொழில்நுட்ப நிபுணர்கள் அனைவரும் இந்நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்று தங்கள் திறன்களை மேம்படுத்த அன்புடன் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා ළමා සංවර්ධන සංගමය, ශ්‍රී ලංකා ළමා රෝග විශේෂඥයින්ගේ විද්‍යාලය සහ මඩකලපුව වෛද්‍ය සංගමය සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන්, නැගෙනහිර පළාතේ සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා වෘත්තිකයන් සඳහා ස්නායු සංවර්ධනය පිළිබඳ පසු විපරම් සැසියක් සංවිධානය කර ඇත.

මෙම සැසිය සැලසුම් කර ඇත්තේ පෙර පුහුණු වැඩසටහන් වලදී බෙදාගත් දැනුම සහ කුසලතා ශක්තිමත් කිරීමට සහ ගොඩනැගීමට, සංවර්ධන තක්සේරුව සහ මුල් මැදිහත්වීම සඳහා ප්‍රායෝගික ප්‍රවේශයන් කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරමිනි. ළමා රෝග විශේෂඥයින්, වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරීන්, චිකිත්සකයින්, හෙදියන් සහ අනෙකුත් අනුබද්ධ සෞඛ්‍ය වෘත්තිකයන් ඇතුළුව ළමා ස්නායු සංවර්ධනයට සම්බන්ධ සැමට සහභාගී වීමට සහ ඔවුන්ගේ සායනික කුසලතා තවදුරටත් වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම කරනු ලැබේ. එක්ව, නැගෙනහිර පළාතේ ළමුන් සහ පවුල් සඳහා ස්නායු සංවර්ධන සේවාවන් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම දිගටම සහාය වෙමු!

Neurodevelopment Update – Ampara | March 30 & 31

This collaborative programme was organised by the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, the Sri Lanka Association for Child Development, and the Galoya Nimna Clinical Society – Ampara.

Two impactful days. One shared goal – Improving the lives of children with neurodevelopmental needs.

This marks the second session in the series, following a successful programme in the Northern Province.

A truly inspiring multidisciplinary programme brought together paediatricians, psychiatrists, rehabilitation specialists, therapists, and nursing officers from across Batticaloa, Trincomalee, and Ampara.

From insightful lectures to hands-on training with real clinical cases, the sessions were practical, engaging, and meaningful – with 9 children contributing to rich learning experiences.

Grateful to our eminent speakers, dedicated Ayati team, and all participants for making this a success.

A special thank you to the Galoya Nimna Clinical Society – Ampara for the incredible support.

Building on momentum, strengthening collaborations, and continuing our journey to enhance neurodevelopmental care across the island.

ස්නායු සංවර්ධන දැනුම බෙදාදීමේ වැඩසටහන – අම්පාර | මාර්තු 30 සහ 31 - 2026

වැදගත් දින දෙකක්. එක් පොදු ඉලක්කයක් - ස්නායු සංවර්ධන අවශ්‍යතා ඇති දරුවන්ගේ ජීවින මට්ටම වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම.

උතුරු පළාතේ දියත් කල සාර්ථක වැඩසටහනකින් පසුව, මෙම මාලාවේ දෙවන සැසිය මෙයින් සනිටුහන් වුණි.

මෙම අගනා වැඩසටහන මඩකලපුව, ත්‍රිකුණාමලය සහ අම්පාර පුරා ළමා රෝග විශේෂඥයින්, මනෝචිකිත්සකයින්, පුනරුත්ථාපන විශේෂඥයින්, චිකිත්සකයින් සහ හෙද නිලධාරීන් එකට එක් කිරීමට අනගි අවස්තාවක් විය.

දැනුම ගොඩනගන දේශනවල සිට සායනික අවස්ථා සමඟ ප්‍රායෝගික පුහුණුව දක්වා විහිදි සැසි ප්‍රායෝගික, ආකර්ශනීය සහ අර්ථවත් ඒවා විය - ඊට අමතරව දරුවන් 9 දෙනෙකුද දැනුම බෙදා දෙන අත්දැකීම් සඳහා දායක විය.

මෙය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සඳහා අපගේ කීර්තිමත් කථිකයින්ටද, කැපවූ අයති කණ්ඩායමටද සහ සියලුම සහභාගි වූවන්ටද කෘතඥ වෙමු.

ඊට අමතරව අම්පාර ගල්ඔය නිම්න සායනික සංගමයට විශේෂ ස්තූතිය පුද කරමු.
සහයෝගීතාවයන් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සහ දිවයින පුරා ස්නායු සංවර්ධන සත්කාර වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම සඳහා අපගේ ගමන දිගටම කරගෙන යමු.

நரம்பியல் விருத்தி தொடர்பான செயலமர்வு – அம்பாறை | மார்ச் 30 & 31
இரண்டு நாட்கள். ஒரே நோக்கம் –நரம்பியல் விருத்தி தொடர்பாக விசேட தேவைகள் கொண்ட குழந்தைகளின் வாழ்க்கையை மேம்படுத்துவது.
இலங்கை நரம்பியல் விருத்திக்கான சங்கமும் இலங்கை குழந்தைநல வைத்திய நிபுணர்களின் சங்கமும் அம்பாறை மருத்துவ சங்கத்துடன் இணைந்து, நரம்பியல் விருத்திக்கான ஒரு சிறப்பான செயலமர்வினை அண்மையில் அம்பாறையில் நடத்தியிருந்தனர்.
வட மாகாணத்தில் நடைபெற்ற வெற்றிகரமான நிகழ்ச்சியைத் தொடர்ந்து, இரண்டாவது அமர்வாக இந்நிகழ்வு இம்முறை கிழக்கு மாகாணத்தில் இடம்பெற்றது.
மட்டக்களப்பு, திருகோணமலை மற்றும் அம்பாறை மாவட்டங்களிலிருந்து குழந்தை நல வைத்திய நிபுணர்கள், மனநல வைத்தியர்கள், மறுவாழ்வு நிபுணர்கள், மருத்துவ அதிகாரிகள், துறைசார் சிகிச்சையாளர்கள், மற்றும் தாதிய உத்தியோகத்தர்கள் பலர் கலந்து கொண்ட பல்துறை இணைந்த நிகழ்வாக இது அமைந்தது.
ஆழமான விரிவுரைகள் மற்றும் நடைமுறை சார்ந்த பயிற்சிகள் என, பங்கேற்பாளர்களுக்கு பயனுள்ள கற்றல் அனுபவமாக அமைந்தது – நரம்பியல் விருத்தி தொடர்பாக விசேட தேவைகளுடைய குழந்தைகள் ஒன்பது பேருடன் நேரடி மருத்துவ அனுபவம் கலந்தாலோசிக்கப்பட்டது.
இந்த நிகழ்வை வெற்றியாக்கிய வளவாளர்கள் – மிக முக்கியமாக, சமூக குழந்தை நல மற்றும் நரம்பியல் விருத்திக்கான மருத்துவ நிபுணர்கள் குழு, அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செயல்பட்ட ஆயதி குழு மற்றும் அனைத்து பங்கேற்பாளர்களுக்கும் மனமார்ந்த நன்றி.
இச்செயலமவர்வுக்கு மிகப்பெரிய ஆதரவு வழங்கிய அம்பாறை மருத்துவ சங்கத்திற்கு சிறப்பு நன்றி.

🌏 SANBEPA Session at the SLACD Biennial Congress 2026

The South Asian Neurodevelopmental, Behavioural and Environmental Paediatrics Association (SANBEPA) scientific session was held as a parallel symposium on 29th January during the 7th Biennial Congress of the Sri Lanka Association for Child Development, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, at Radisson Blu Resort, Galle.

The SANBEPA session brought together regional experts to discuss clinical care models, early childhood development, family-centred care, and emerging approaches in neurodevelopmental paediatrics.
