Brigadier Waruna Gamage appointed Director Media of Sri Lanka Army
Brigadier Waruna Gamage has been appointed as the Director Media and Psychological Operations of Sri Lanka Army today (5).
He joined the Sri Lanka Army on May 5, 1993, as an alumnus of Ananda College, Colombo.
Upon completing his basic military training, he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and posted to the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
A graduate of the Defence Services Command and Staff College and the National Defence College, Sri Lanka, Brigadier Gamage has also completed postgraduate diplomas in Public Administration and Business Management.
He is currently pursuing an MSc in National Security and Strategic Studies.
He has undergone specialized training both in Sri Lanka and overseas, focusing on command, staff, and operational management.
Throughout his career, he has held key appointments within the Sri Lanka Army, excelling in command, staff, and instructional roles.
In recognition of his dedicated service and gallantry, he has been awarded several military honors. Brigadier Gamage is happily married and is a proud father of a son and a daughter.
