🌸 Honoring a Trailblazer this Women’s Day 🌸
Today, we celebrate Minnette de Silva, Sri Lanka’s first female architect and a pioneer of tropical modernism. She was the first Asian woman to become a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and designed homes, schools, and public spaces that blended modern design with Sri Lankan traditions. She also won the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1996 for her contributions to architecture.
Her work earned international recognition and continues to inspire architects around the world and she inspired generations of women architects to dream bigger and build boldly. Minnette de Silva’s legacy reminds us that architecture is more than structures it is culture, identity, and courage.
Happy Women’s Day, everyone ♀️

Some moments in a community remind us that learning is not only about knowledge, but about understanding each other's faith, culture, and humanity.
Yesterday, CSA witnessed a calendar event, creating a meaningful moment of reflection and cultural exchange within our CSA family.
Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan is not simply about breaking the fast. It is a sacred time of gratitude, patience, compassion, and spiritual reflection. Our students beautifully shared the significance and holiness of this blessed month, explaining the values of fasting, prayer, generosity, and kindness that guide millions around the world.
The evening was filled with warmth as students sang heartfelt songs praising Allah (Swt) and the Holy Prophet (pbuh) bringing a sense of devotion and unity to the gathering. Their voices carried the spirit of Ramadan and reminded us of the beauty of faith and togetherness.
Events like this allow our community to learn from one another, respect different traditions, and celebrate the diversity that makes CSA such a special place.
At CSA, moments like these show that education is not only about building structures, but also about building understanding, empathy, and shared humanity.
