The Ulrich model is a common HR strategy that helps large companies consisting of several business units coordinate and effectively manage their human resources operations. This model advocates for HR processes to be simplified, re-engineered and automated. This ensures that professionals spend less time handling mundane bureaucratic internal processes while directing more of their efforts to high-value tasks that help organizations achieve their strategic goals. David Ulrich suggested that in giant organizations or large-scale businesses, HR functions should be compartmentalized into four roles. By understanding and implementing the four key roles of the Ulrich HR Model, HR professionals can better align with the organization’s objectives and drive value across a range of HR areas.
