Narrative Journalism Training for University Students!

On January 23rd, the Sri Lanka College of Journalism (SLCJ) and the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI) held an immersive training session on Narrative Journalism.

In an era of fast news, this session focused on the art of human-interest storytelling. Students explored how to craft deeply moving narratives across various platforms, including:
✅ Video
✅ Audio/Podcasting
✅ Long-form Text

This specialized program was made possible through our collaboration with the High Commission of Canada and Newsreel Asia of India. We were honored to have expert trainers from Newsreel Asia share their global perspectives and professional techniques with our aspiring journalists.

By mastering these narrative tools, our students are now better equipped to go beyond the headlines and tell the stories that truly matter.
