A fantastic day of cricket, camaraderie, and college spirit as the Sri Lanka College of Sexual Health and HIV Medicine emerged victorious at the Cricket Encounter against the Sri Lanka College of Cardiology. π
Our Ladies team also put forward a commendable effort in the Six-a-Side encounter, displaying great enthusiasm and team spirit.
Congratulations to all players for their outstanding performances and teamwork, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make the event a success.
Beyond the competition, the day celebrated friendship, unity, and sportsmanship among our colleges. π

The presidential induction ceremony of Sri Lanka College of Sexual Health and HIV medicine was held at the Kingsbury Colombo.
The occation was graced by Chief Guest, Dr Leelani Rajapakse,former deputy director of National STD/AIDS control Programme and past president of SLCoSHH.
We warmly congratulate the newly inducted president, Dr Nimali Jayasiriya and the council.

The Anual General meeting of the Sri Lanka College of Sexual Health and HIV medicine was held on the 26th April 2026.
The evening celebrated the achievements and dedication of our members, including the awarding of certificates to participants who successfully completed the Global Health eLearning Program of the University of Washington and the Sexual Health Course conducted by SLCOSHH.
A special moment was dedicated to appreciating the outgoing council members, followed by the presentation of Special Acknowledgement Awards in recognition of exceptional service and commitment to the College.
Extending our sincere gratitude to the outgoing President, Dr Shyama Somawardhana and Council for their dedicated leadership, commitment, and valuable contributions to the College throughout the past year -- Hereβs to another year of service, advocacy, education, and progress together.

The fellowship dinner of the 30th Annual Conference of the Sri Lanka College of Sexual Health and HIV Medicine was held on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at the Courtyard by Marriot, Colombo.
It was attended by the membersof SLCoSHH and distinguished invitees.
The highlight of the night was the much-anticipated awards ceremony, where the excellence and innovation of the winners of the oral and poster presentations and the Quiz were formally acknowledged and celebrated.
Special recognition was given to the Council of the SLCoSHH for their remarkable support of the academic events.

The Inaugural Ceremony
The Inaugural Ceremony for the 30th Annual Conference of the Sri Lanka College of Sexual Health and HIV Medicine was held on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the Hilton Colombo.
The event marked the commencement of the conference whose theme was: "Translating Evidence into Action: Advancing Excellence in HIV/STI Prevention, Treatment, and Care".
The ceremony featured a message by the Chief Guest, Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, Sri Lanka. The Guest of Honour, Professor Matthew Phillips (President, The British Association for Sexual Health and HIV), addressed the gathering. The Special Guest, Dr. Rajesh Pandav (WHO Representative to Sri Lanka), also delivered an address. The Presidential Address, named after this year's theme, was delivered by Dr. Shyama Somawardhana, President of the College. The Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Wasanthi Hemamala, Secretary of the College.
Several awards were presented at the Inaugural Ceremony of the 30th Annual Conference of the Sri Lanka College of Sexual Health and HIV Medicine were:
Fellowship of the SLCoSHH - awarded to Dr. Gayani Nanayakkara and Dr. Priyantha Weerasinghe recognising their contribution to the SLCoSHH .
Dr & Mrs Lucian Jayasuriya Medal for the best performance at the Diploma in Venereology Examination 2025 was awarded to Dr. Sandun Rajapakshe.
Dr Iyanthi Abeyewickreme Medal for the best performance at the MD in Venereology Examination 2025 was awarded to Dr. M. I. F. Masna.
A special Felicitation was given to to Dr. Jayadarie Ranatunga appreciating her dedication to the field of sexual health and HIV

Session 1 - Speakers were Prof Graham P Taylor (Professor of Human Retrovirology, UK), Dr Amila Chandrakumara (Consultant Neuroradiologist, SL), Dr Emily Clarke (Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine and HIV, UK),
Session 2 - speakers were, Dr Geethani Samaraweera (Consultant Venereologist, SL), Prof Thashi Chang (Professor in Neurology, SL), and Prof Chathurie Suraweera (Professor in Psychiatry, SL)
