As part of the Sangam Global Online Event hosted from the USA 🇺🇸,In the ongoing series Puthiyana Virumbu, where the original creative works of our visionary director “Kalasuri” Thivya Sujen reach the global stage, today we unveiled a gem — Alarippu set to Mathanga Thalam.

This Alarippu first bloomed in 2023 at Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 , during the thematic arangetram Nirshraya Gajan, as part of the Margam Mathangamodu Thamizh Muzhangave — a journey through Tamil literature spanning the 1st to 21st century. Later, it found new life in Canada 🇨🇦 , performed by Nishkitha Gokulraj, as a heartfelt tribute to the love for the mother tongue.

Our director beautifully explained how the choice of Mathanga Thalam was not mere rhythm, but a deliberate embrace of Tamil’s depth and dignity — reminding us that language and art are inseparable, each echoing the other in timeless harmony.❤️

We rejoice that this composition has already found its way into the hands of the next generation — the very ones we wished to gift with our treasure: the beauty of the mother tongue through art 🌷🔥

We mourn the passing of Senior Media Photographer S.M. Surenthiran, whose lens captured not just images, but the spirit and journey of Abhinayakshetra for over two decades. His love, dedication, and unwavering support have been a pillar to us, and his absence leaves a void that can never truly be replaced.🙏
