The Gavel Journal 24: Lost in Translation

The 373rd Educational Meeting of Gavel UOC unfolded on 14th May 2026 under the theme “Lost in Translation.” The TMOD’s opening remarks reminded us that communication goes far beyond language. Between what we say, what we feel, and what others understand, there is always a little space for confusion, laughter, and connection. 🍃

The Round Robin Session was filled with hilarious stories about being halfway fluent. The Table Topics Session brought out different perspectives on communication gaps and fresh ideas, with one Gavel Legend among the speakers, transforming the meeting a celebration of imperfect expression and genuine understanding. 💬

With the evaluations, smiles filled the final group picture, and conversations carried into the plain tea session. One thing became clear: even when words fail, human connection somehow finds its way through. ❤️
