Isipathana College is proud to have three of its own representing Sri Lanka at the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens in Nepal on October 4th & 5th.

Shaahid Zumri, still a schoolboy, will join seasoned players Srinath Sooriyabandara, a former Sri Lanka Sevens captain, and Hirantha Perera in the national team.

We wish them all the very best as they take on this international stage!

𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘥 𝘡𝘶𝘮𝘳𝘪 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘐𝘴𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘶𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘑𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘺

Shahid Zumri will become the latest Isipathanian to don the National Jersey after being selected to the final squad of the National 7s team that will tour Nepal. The team will be led by Tarinde Rathwatte.

Meanwhile Thrinethra Dodangoda has been appointed as the Vice captain of the Sri Lanka Under 18 rugby team that will leave for Malaysia tomorrow. He will be joined by fellow team mates Shakib Zumri and Nimantha Sandeepa. The team is captained by Vishenka Silva of St. Peters.

We wish our boys and the entier team the very best for the upcoming tours!
