G.C.E A/L French 2026 Revision Seminars

📚 Want to excel in your G.C.E A/L French examinations with supplementary training specially designed around A/L exam questions and techniques for achieving an A? Join the Revision Seminars organised by Alliance Française de Colombo — the only certified DELF/DALF centre in Sri Lanka.

🗓️ Sessions will take place on 14th, 21st, and 28th June from 9.00am to 5.00pm, covering Expression Écrite, Grammaire, Compréhension, Traduction, and Littérature.

✍️ Rate per session: 4000 LKR

🏆 Congratulations to our local winners of the first selection round of DEFI Inter-Alliances 2026 at Alliance Française de Colombo — Supesh Jayasuriya and Charumala Gunesekera! We were delighted to have all the students who participated in the DEFI, and we thank them for their enthusiasm and engagement.

🌍 We are proud to see our students represent the Alliance with their knowledge of the French language and Francophone culture in this exciting international competition.

📚 The directors, librarians, and cultural & communication officers of the Alliance Française of Sri Lanka Network gathered at the library of Alliance Française de Colombo for a day of training, exchange, and strategic reflection.

🤝 The meeting was held in the presence of representatives from the Cultural & Cooperation Section of the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, together with the library teams of Alliance Française de Kandy and Alliance Française de Matara.

💡 Discussions focused on the media library strategy of the network, projects for 2026, library management, cataloguing, and the development of cultural and educational activities within our libraries.

💫 Opera & Wellbeing Workshop
Social and emotional equilibrium through operatic storytelling

🎭 A unique University of London research study exploring the social and emotional experiences of young people through operatic storytelling, led by Dr. Kiara Wickremasinghe — anthropologist, mental health practitioner, and opera singer.

🎶 The workshops will include opera education, performance techniques, and reflective practice, creating a space for creativity, expression, and wellbeing.

🌟 At the end of the second workshop, participants will present a special showcase for family and friends from 5.00–6.00pm.
