“Comedy is not just laughter it’s intelligence disguised in timing.”

At the 50th All-Island Inter-School Shakespeare Drama Competition, Hesh*tha Abeyratne of D.S. Senanayake College claimed the spotlight as the Best Comic Actor, proving that wit, expression, and artistry can make an audience both laugh and marvel.

A well-deserved triumph for a performer whose humour carried heart, precision, and brilliance.

We are not simply giving back; we are fulfilling our duty for all that has been given to us. This school has illuminated our lives, shaping who we are, and for that, we remain forever indebted.

That is why we carry out our duty not for recognition, not for praise but for our mother, D.S. Senanayake College.

This is the lesson instilled in us by R.I.T. Alles Sir, and this is why we proudly declare, "We are Senanayakians."
