That’s a wrap on our Watercolour Workshop with Sir Asanka Anujeewa 🎨

We had a wonderful time learning from the very best, taking it step by step. Under Asanka’s warm guidance, we explored various techniques but most importantly, we learned to let go. Watercolour invites you to trust the flow, to embrace unpredictability, and to let the medium lead the way.

The Shyamala School of Art looks forward to many more sessions and explorations of the medium with Asanka Anujeewa in the future.

Stay tuned for more!

Disclaimer: What you see is just the tip of the ice berg. This is a depiction of Preksha’s 2 year creative journey in a few select milestones. Art is never a linear process but a self correcting and self reflective process that creates and shapes and informs the final outcome.

Pearson-Edexcel Art is the bringing together of first and second hand resources, experimentation, material, methods, and creative and analytical thinking into the theme of ‘silent resilience’ - a theme chosen for Unit 01 by Preksha. This creative journey for Unit 01 finally culminates in a 17-hour practical examination that puts years of creative thinking, research, prototyping, years of influence, and points of inspiration together to create one stunning masterpiece of a final outcome.
