We had the happiest little celebration at Little Saplings Montessori as our children welcomed the Sinhala and Tamil New Year!

Tiny hands, big smiles, and lots of excitement as they gathered around the rabana—tapping, clapping, and giggling their way through the rhythm. Some were fully focused, some were wonderfully off-beat, and all of it was pure joy.

It was one of those moments where the room felt alive—with laughter, culture, and the sweetest sense of togetherness. Watching them experience tradition in their own playful way was simply magical.

Childhood, culture, and a whole lot of fun—just the way it should be.
