International Quality & Productivity Center of AAC

International Quality & Productivity Center of AAC (LWTR). AAC operations are based at the largest hanger complex at Colombo Airport, Ratmalana. And has its marketing office at Bambalapitiya / Colombo 04.

In 2022, the Productivity Facilitation Division of the AAC improved its services by establishing a special unit, namely the International Quality & Productivity Centre (IQPC). Asian Aviation Centre (Pvt) Ltd., (AAC) formerly CDE Aviation, was registered as a private limited liability company in 1985 and its main business was operating a flying training school. In 1990, it commenced a course of stu

dies to train students to sit for the examination conducted by the Director General of Civil Aviation Sri Lanka for the issue of licences in aircraft maintenance without type rating. Due to the increased demand for higher studies, AAC considered the possibility of offering undergraduate courses in Aeronautical Engineering and embarked on a course development program to offer two other courses, a HND and BSc, through an affiliation to Kingston University London from 1997. Programme Content with Minitab Integration:-
* Gain essential working knowledge of the Six Sigma DMAIC process with Project Charter implementation.
* Develop an understanding of the Lean concepts and their practical application.
* Practical guidance to identify waste, eliminate waste and continuously improve.
* Step by step approach to improve company profitability though application of lean process improvement techniques (i.e. including SIPOC and Critical to Quality requirements).
* Develop problem solving & continuous improvement skills (i.e. including Cause and effect, Ishikawa diagrams, etc.).
